Quite some time back, in fact, way back in November, if you read the local malay dailies. There’s a report on a van to be produced for Rakan Muda as part of their Go-Mobile program. Guess who’s team built it?
Anyway, the process of ‘pimping’ up the van took a good 2 weeks of long hours to complete. When I say long hours, it really is long hours. The workshops barely had time to rest every night before they have to continue again the next morning.
But nevertheless, towards the end of November, the van was ready, shown to the Minister of Youth and Sports for a quick pre-launch peek and on the 1st of December, was unveiled at Bukit Bintang to great fanfare. Alot of people was impressed with the detailed put into the whole thing, from the cabinets to the A/V System.
If you’ve been watching MTV’s Pimp My Ride, this is quite close to it. The Malaysian version! Minus the TV Coverage though. Anyway, I’ve uploaded the whole process of the build so click here to have a view.
2007 was 2 days ago, time flies when we are busy. How was your new year celebration?
Mine was a toned down affair compared to the previous year, instead of partying away at a club, this time around was held at Greg’s secret hideout.
A bunch of us decide to instead of getting caught in the traffic crawl of the new year, we might as well just get together at a home and party among ourselves. And true enough, that’s what we did, the home of choice was Greg’s place in Seksyen 14. Overseeing a wonderful view of KL’s major tourist spots, it has become a good spot for us to look out at all the fireworks that will be on display come midnight.
Before that? Each of us was to bring a dish as it’ll be a pot luck party and typical of this group of friends. There’s more alcohol than food, nevertheless, we vowed to finish them.
As it’s also a working day, not everyone arrived until way past 9pm as those that worked late got caught in the city crawl. One of the core things that has become a MUST-DO was to Cam-whore. Yup! Loads of Cam-whoring, drinking and eaten happened until 5minutes before midnight.
After the usual countdown and New Year greetings, everyone camped around the windows to watch the 15minutes or so firework display that light up the skies.
After all that firework hoo haa, Jac and Vinnie was nice enough to prepare a list of songs for us to sing to and yes, en-mass karaoke session that rocked the whole apartment unit. How loud was it? Let’s just say that when I went down to collect some stuff in the car, I could hear the singing…. 16 floors down!
As the time ticked off into the 1st day of 2008, we decide to play some nice games of Charade, with MOVIES as a theme. Let’s just say that I won’t get to be the game-master after this adventure (I’m not old, i just watch alot of movies .. new and old!). After that little adventure, we move on to another exciting game that revolves around drinking.
The time strucked 4am and we decide to give the residents of that apartment unit some sleep by making our way out of the place. All in all, it was a great New Year party.

Earlier today, I attended the final round of the GRA Championship which was held at Precint 4 in Putrajaya.
With the Menara KBS as it’s background, the competitors really give it their all as they pushed their machines to the limit to show who is the best in the 2007 Championship. As usual, not being the type of person who’d just stand around and watch the race. I had my trusty camera ready to grab some shots.

Over the weekend, from the 7th to the 9th. The Paintball world came alive with the Paintball World Cup tournament. Teams from various parts of the world congregate together at Dataran PJ just opposite the Amcorp Mall to battle it off to determined which Paintball team’s the best.
For me, I was there to capture it all down on my camera. Here’s my top 10 favorite shots from the event. In no particular order.
