Winter Wonderland with Teresa Carpio

December 27, 2007

This Christmas eve was spend with some friends up at Genting as Salsajay had a show to perform after the Teresa Carpio performance.

Teresa Carpio, a famous Hong Kong singer and actress was in Genting on Christmas Eve to perform a one night only “Winter Wonderland with Teresa Carpio” and the Genting International Convention Center was packed with her fans of all ages.

From the old to the very young, throughout the night, you can see all of them moving to her songs and some singing along too. As for me, I’ve seen her loads of time on TV and this is the first time I watch her perform LIVE. Was she good? YES.

Apart from herself, she also had her children and a music student of hers up on stage to perform 2 songs too which was a good touch. Doesn’t matter the fact that they still couldn’t carry a tune. It’s having the guts to get on stage to sing LIVE and not do Ad-lib that matters most.

Yes, that’s the sad fact that more and more upcoming performers and even some of the more experienced performers prefer to do ad-libbing than singing live. Or rather, some of them can’t sing LIVE.

For me, this is a nice change and a good show. She wasn’t a diva throughout the night as some fans couldn’t wait and went up stage to ask her permission to pose for photographs with her and she play along even getting the fans dance on the stage while she belt out her final number.

December 23, 2007

I’m sure everyone would know that all the shopping malls pulled out all the stops in showing off their granduer Christmas decorations leading to this year’s christmas day. Right? Previously, I’ve shown some of the decoration from The Curve and this time around, it’s the decoration from Midvalley Mega Mall.

Do feel free to Comment and Critic the photos.

Merry Christmas

December 21, 2007

With just a couple of days away to Christmas, the streets, shopping centers and parties are picking up real fast with insane activities to drum up the excitement. While I was at Cineleisure to buy some movie tickets, I could see from afar drove and drove of crowds going into The Curve to do their last minute Christmas shopping, checking out the beautiful Christmas decorations and basically getting together with friends to have an early christmas celebration. Yes, you heard it right. Christmas started way early this year as working people just decide to apply for 2 extra days of leave to make it a long 6 days Christmas holiday.

As for me, decide to have a walkabout before leaving the place as the traffic outside the shopping mall build up and it started to rain cats and dogs. My take? You can find them here.

Last word before the long weekend begins?

GRA Championship 2008 – Round 5

December 16, 2007

Earlier today, I attended the final round of the GRA Championship which was held at Precint 4 in Putrajaya.

With the Menara KBS as it’s background, the competitors really give it their all as they pushed their machines to the limit to show who is the best in the 2007 Championship. As usual, not being the type of person who’d just stand around and watch the race. I had my trusty camera ready to grab some shots.

What do you think of these photos? You can view the rest of the album here.
