Red Arrow in TUDM

November 30, 2007

Yesterday, the public had a great show by the Red Arrow team of Great Britain as well as the Indian Air Force at TUDM’s base in Subang. Naturally, I was there to soak in the excitement as well as the fumes from the jets. My shots are as below…

Feel free to let me know what you think of these shots and to view the rest of the album, you can view them @ Red Arrow and The Indian Air Force @ TUDM (29 November 2007)

Salsa Havana – 70s Salsa Party

November 26, 2007

The recent Saturday was a blast in a way, it’s been a long while since I step into a Salsa club and finally got back to Salsa Havana and it felt good. Loads of familiar faces and guess what? People still remembers me! LOL.

The first person who greeted me other than the bouncers was Martin himself, coming out from the Deejay console just to have a quick chat with me and ask me why I’ve dissappeared! Well, sorry dude… work and lack of practice, am shy to dance and screw up on the dance floor.

As it was the last saturday of the month, Ritmo Latino had the theme set to the 70s Salsa Party, so everyone’s supposed to come dressed in their best 70s look… except for yours truly. Yeah, I didn’t know there’s a theme as it was a last minute thing. But heck, it was still good.

It’s been so long since I last dance that I actually felt tired on Sunday morning. LOL… coupled with the fact that I’ve to go for a football match that morning. It wasn’t a pretty sight looking at myself on the pitch… but that’s another story.

Later into the night, Martin played the Maghalena song and I got pulled onto the dance floor to start the Maghalena dance. Quite funny that quite a number of the salsa dancers didn’t know this dance when it has been around for ages. And then, there was the drinking… yup.. the night’s never complete without some alcohol…

Oh yeah… we celebrated Camellia’s birthday then too.. so Happy Birthday to you Camellia…. for more photos, go here!

Karen Kong Meets The Fans – Sg. Wang Plaza

November 26, 2007

Karen Kong meets the Fan Session was held recently @ Sungai Wang Plaza. Here are some of the photos taken at that event.

The lighting changes during each performance so I have to play around with my own camera’s flash to find the suitable shots constantly.

For more of the photos, you can go to Karen Kong Meets The Fan @ Sungai Wang (24 November 2007)!

Tuborg Launch

November 24, 2007

riday was a terrible day, in the morning, I received a call someone very close to my family passed away. And in the evening, some @# work related stuff that does not need to be mentioned happened. Anyway, this post is not about any of those stuff. I was invited to Tuborg’s launch and met with ShaolinTiger, Suanie and FireAngel there.

The function dragged on a bit as the start was abit slow but got better when the performance starts. Gila Battle Crew (the same group that performed for Street ICE’s shows) performed along with this tap dancing/breakdancing crew from Australia. Apart from that, the Deejays also spinned some really nice songs coupled with the endless flow of Tuborg beer.

Also, managed to bump into some old schoolmates at this event so it was quite nice, sort of a reunion of sort.

It was all nice and dandy until I start talking to my suppliers again… ( Anyway, let’s not go there.

All in all, enjoyed the night as much as I could but I’m still not in bed yet as still thinking too much. Sigh…

Birds

November 23, 2007

I know some photographers that’ll carry huge and I really mean HUGE lenses (600mm) into the jungle to try and capture that one bird to add into their photography collection.

For me, I don’t have those luxury. All I have is my kit lens which has served me very well since the day it came into my hands.  Recently I captured these following shots and got some good comments about them from some nature photographer. Just thought I’d share it with my readers here.

Click on the Parrot pics for the 800×533 version.

Now that you have a look as well, so what do you think of the photographs?
